Ahhh, So it's been a while since I've blogged and thats mainly because my life has been really busy and hectic...Wait...thats definitely not it at all. I've had a light semester so far because I'm changing my major and in a bit of a transition phase. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I couldn't cut it in engineering, it's just that I realized I'm not interested in almost anything I'm doing in any of my classes. Lack of interest with my already less than stellar work ethic can't possibly be a good combination so I had to make a change. Although I'm not 100% sure what major I'm switching into yet I hope it'll be something I can really get into and hell maybe even enjoy.
Not too much else has really been going on in my life here in the boring Raleigh area. I find myself daydreaming about living somewhere nice all the time and keep thinking that eventually, hopefully, I'll be able to move. I think we've worn out this city enough. I've been begging the boys to go play golf (ironic since I'm by far the worst golfer of the group) but they're all too busy grinding to get out of the house. It's sad really.
I have to say though, all their grinding has gotten me a little bit motivated. For the month of April I've decided I'm going to man up and play 100k hands of 50nl 6max. It seems like too many hands for your average reader but most pro poker players play 100k a month without much of a sweat. From some basic calculations I've come up with, I'm going to have to play about 30 hours a week 12 tabling to reach this goal. It is a little bit of work but it is certainly attainable. I needed some help putting up my roll so Finn, Bryan, and a friend from online Kevin, have graciously contributed 500 each (getting 25% of profit + rb) to my account. On the side, I have also bet with Nick that my 100k hands will have a higher winrate than his 100k at the same limit, and I also have a small bet with Bryan that I will be able to play the 100k. Anybody else that would like to put up some money at even money against me playing 100k hands this month is more than welcome. I'll be posting weekly updates here to keep you fiends suckling at the teet and to keep my sanity.
Well that's all I can seem to come up with for now but for all of you who have continued to read this useless ramble for all these months, much love, respect, and apologies for wasting your time.
Yours Truly,
MSauce
